New Student Orientation

SUCCESS— We want that for YOU!

To assist you in starting off on the right foot, EMCC offers a comprehensive New Student Orientation program on line.

This orientation session is designed to provide you with important information related to EMCC services, policies, and resources. Upon completion of this on line orientation, you will have the opportunity to select a date to come to campus and "Beat the Rush" at the Bangor campus this summer. (Beat the Rush is optional for most students.)

Because policies, deadlines, and key campus locations and personnel do often change from year to year, we require students who have changed their major or returned from a leave of absence to complete online orientation again.

Please set aside 45 minutes to 1 hour in order to allow enough time to complete this tutorial!  There are 18 pages.

Goals of New Student Orientation

• Introduce you to people, programs, and services that can support you educationally and personally.

• Guide you in understanding rules, regulations, procedures, and policies at EMCC.

• Create an atmosphere that reduces anxiety and stimulates excitement with the process of beginning college.

Upon completion of this online orientation program, you will be asked to answer a series of questions, and your completed "quiz" will be forwarded to the Admissions Office. In addition, you will be asked to provide your name, student ID number, program of study, and indicate which date you plan to attend "Beat the Rush" on campus (optional for most).
